Obituary of Cora Tomlin

Graveside services for Cora May Tomlin 78, Troup, are scheduled for 11:30 am, Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Walnut Grove Cemetery with the Reverend Tommy Hardin officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mrs. Tomlin died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1934, in Smith County, Texas to the late Glenn D. Graves and Ruby Mae Harris Graves. Mrs. Tomlin was a homemaker, and lifetime residence of Troup. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church, and she enjoyed volunteering at the Bullard Community Library for 18 years. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Riley Tomlin, and three brothers, John Graves, Jack Graves and William 'Bill' Graves. Survivors include, daughter and husband, Linda and Kenneth Schmidt, Conroe; brother and sister-in-law, Richard 'Dick' and Lucille Graves, Big Oak Bay; sister-in-law, Gene Graves, Burleson; 2 grandchildren and spouses, Kevin and Kim Schmidt, Conroe; Kristey and Jason McBride, Amarillo; great grandchildren, Megan Schmidt, Kyler Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, Jr., Morgan Schmidt, Gavin McBride, Camryn McBride and Dylan McBride, many nieces and nephews. The family will receive at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, June 7. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Bullard Community Library Building Fund, 211 West Main Street, Bullard, Texas, 75757.
