Obituary of William H. Wallace

Services for William H. 'Bill' Wallace, 65, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, April 5, at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with the Reverend Mike Cline officiating. Burial will be in the Mixon Cemetery, in the Mixon community in Cherokee County. Mr. Wallace died Tuesday, April 1, in a Tyler hospital. He was born September 27, 1942, in Houston, to the late William Earl Wallace and Evelyn Marie Smith Wallace. He lived most of his life in the Whitehouse area. Mr. Wallace was a retired employee of both the City of Tyler and the City of Whitehouse and was currently a bus driver for the Whitehouse Independent School District. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Wallace. Survivors include two sons, John Wallace, Troup and Steve Wallace, Tomball; two daughters, Linda Giles and Carol Ann Williams, both of Whitehouse; a sister, Debbie Wallace, Whitehouse; and grandchildren, Randall Giles, Aaron Giles, and Bradley Giles. Pallbearers will be Jeff Fite, Jeff Peck, Jordan Hill, Donn Rust, Patrick Garrigan, and Michael Bookout. His sons, John Wallace and Steve Wallace will serve as honorary pallbearers. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, April 4.
