Deanne L. Franks, 53, of Nacogdoches, Texas, formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas, fell asleep in the Lord on March 21, 2013, at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Deanne suffered a catastrophic brain aneurism on the Saturday afternoon before. The family is thankful to the Hospice staff for their assistance in helping her through a peaceful and painless passing, encouraged with love and support from her husband, daughters, and grandson. Deanne was employed in the Controllers Office of Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Before moving to Texas, she was employed at Rebsamen Insurance and in the St. Paul Insurance Regional Office in Little Rock. She had formerly lived in Conway, Benton, Dumas, and Crossett, Arkansas, faithfully moving with her husband during his career with State. She was a 1977 graduate of Sheridan High School and was attending Stephen F. Austin State University. Deanne is survived by her husband of over thirty-three years, Dr. George R. Franks, Jr., Ph.D., two wonderful daughters of whom she was very proud, Amanda Franks, a doctoral student at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and Jessica Post, a public school teacher, and son-in-law Pieter Post of Seguin, Texas, exceptional grandson Dylan Post, and beautiful granddaughter Kinley Post, godson Nicholas Cora of St. Cloud, Florida, her parents Charles and Ruth Jackson of Sheridan, her parents-in-law George and Vita Franks of Arkadelphia, four sisters, Sherri Heird, Pam Avaritt, Darla Davis, and Denee West, sister-in-law Anita Tidwell, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Deanne was a loving member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. Memorial services are being scheduled in Nacogdoches and Little Rock to accommodate friends and family.
