Obituary of Letha Gee
Funeral services for Letha E. Gee, 100, Paris, former Overton resident, are scheduled for 1:30 pm, Friday, March 7, at the First United Methodist Church, Overton with the Reverends Kelly Krone and Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Gee died Monday, March 3, 2008 in Paris. She was born October 9, 1907 in Ravana, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and moved to Overton in 1932 from Louisiana. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Overton and a longtime member of the Eastern Star Chapter 830. She had been a member of the Senior Citizens Club , AARP and had taught the Primary Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John 'Bee' McDurmond, Claude Jolly and Alton Gee and one step-son, Walter Gee
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law , Bobbie Nell and Kelly Elliott, Houston; grandchildren and their spouses, Kel and Thess Elliott , The Woodlands, and Ken and Kathy Elliott, Baytown, and David Gee, Tyler, Keri and Jerry Schima, Pasadena, Kristi and Al Guiterrez, Katy, and Tureva Osburn, Nacogdoches; step-children, Margaret Gregg, James Gee, Margaret Gregg, and Chalky Gee; eleven great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren;
Pallbearers will be Jeff Sartor, Travis Sartor, Trevor Sartor, Taren Sartor, Jason Sartor, and Walker Sartor.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 6.
