Obituary of Douglas Gwynn
Funeral services for Douglas Gwynn, 40, Longview, will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Charles Paschall and Dick Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Longview.
Mr. Gwynn died Monday, March 3, 2008 in a Longview hospital. He was born August 13, 1967 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Donald Eugene and Joan Gwynn. He moved to East Texas in 1969 from Fayetteville and graduated from Longview High School and attended Kilgore College. He formerly owned and operated Holly Video at Holly Lake Ranch and he loved fishing, drag racing and his video store.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by a daughter, Natalie Nicole Gwynn of Holly Lake; his father and stepmother, Don E. and Claudia Gwynn of Overton; his mother and stepfather, Joan Barton and Leslie Smith of Longview; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Michael Collins of Keller; three stepbrothers and two step-sisters-in-law, Scott and Lisa Smith of Longview, Daniel and Kerin Smith of Coldwater, Mississippi, and Christopher Smith of Mequon, Wisconsin; two stepsisters and step-brothers-in-law, Martha and Mark Phillips of Overton, and Tracy and Paul Wehrmann of Dallas; a nephew, Cooper Collins and several other step-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Brandon Whitfield, Zack Crumpton, Chuck Ryan, Michael Collins, Josh Cox, Scott Smith, and Paul Wehrmann.
