Obituary of Roland Bedair

Memorial services for Roland Hudson Bedair, 81, Overton, will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 12, at the First United Methodist Church, Overton, under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mr. Bedair, died Friday, November 9, 2012, in a hospice facility in Tyler. He was born August 18, 1931, in the Murff Community in Smith County to the late Thaddeus and Vera Belle Sanders Bedair. He lived most all his life in Overton and married Barbara Lee Isham April 28, 1951, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He is a veteran of the US Air Force and served in Alaska. He retired from Eastman Kodak where he worked as an operator, and he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Overton. Mr. Bedair enjoyed his retirement and loved life. He was an avid golfer and loved to tinker. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Barbara Bedair, Overton; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cathy Bedair, Gladewater; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susie and Mark Fleming, Freer, Marybeth and Al Bergeron, Lafayette, Louisiana, and Staci Bedair, Overton; a sister, Merlene Harper, Madison, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews  Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 213 Henderson, Overton, TX 75684 or Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701
