My condolences to the family. Mike will surely be missed. I spent many hours "hanging out" at the drug store while attending Troup High School before graduating in 1965. Mike and his mom always had a smile for everyone. Regina Moler Gray

Mike was a great influence on many of his friends, including myself. He and "Doc" could always keep you entertained when you were around them. My prayers are with you, Wanda, and the rest of the family. He will be missed. May God Bless You. Kathy

One of the people that I have really missed since leaving Troup in 1995 was Mike Johnson. His love of life and the city of Troup was so refreshing and fun. I used to spend all my extra time at the pharmacy and the hardware store with Mary, Mike, and Billy Slaughter. I do miss those days, and I will always miss Mike. He was a special friend. Heaven is a better place with Mike and Mary gathered around a guitar, talking about the weather and the good ole days.

Johnson & MEL, Jake and Jenna, Wanda and the Salinas---my thoughts and prayers are with you tonight. Much has been and will be said about Mike. I, literally grew up "next door". What comes to mind is Mike was the embodiment of MARY. He was a JOHNSON, he was Troup, in his being, He was everything each of us strives and wants to be. A man of subststance and morals we all seek to be, but only a few are. I am truelly heartsick for your loss, the towns loss, mankinds loss. In the news there is Bhuttos loss in Pakisistan--Equally there should be news about MIKE'S loss in a community like Troup. Few are irreplaceable, Mike was, and Troup and those that grew up there, knew Mike, were influenced in any small way by him, will forever miss him. Mere words will never do justice. It is the piece of Mike, each of us takes with them, that continues us. As the line in the movie once said, in paraphrase ,"Mike completed Troup" and Troup will never be the same without him
