Obituary of L. Joe Lindsey

Services for Joe Lindsey, 59, New London, will be at 10:00 am Friday, November 2, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton, with Reverend Stan Cox officiating. Burial will in Rusk County Memorial Gardens, near Henderson. Mr. Lindsey died Sunday, October 28, 2012, in New London. He was born July 29, 1953, in Overton to the Late Travis Lois Lindsey and Ruby Dean Gamble Lindsey. He retired from Merchants Services, Inc, after 12 years of services and moved to New London. He married Twilla Rose October 26, 1999, in Paris and he was a Baptist. Mr. Lindsey was a dedicated member of the Henderson Country Club and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, and he was a faithful Ranger's fan. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, L. R. Lindsey and Millie Ann Arnold Lindsey and an uncle, Billy M. Lindsey. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Twilla Lindsey, New London; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lydia Lindsey, Paris, Leslie and Stanley Cox, Paris, and Mendy and Daven Wakefield, Forgan, Oklahoma; a son, Jason Wunsch, New London; his mother, Ruby Lindsey, Paris; five grandchildren, Carsen Cox, Ella Rea Cox, McKenzie Wakefield, Bryan and Matt Morris; and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Tommy Revelle, Jon Dean, Stan Cox, Sr., Stan Cox, Jr., Jason Wunsch and Kevin Dudo. Honorary pallbearer will be Carsen Cox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 1.
