Obituary of Richard Bell
Graveside services for Richard H. 'Dick' Bell, 74, Fort Worth, formerly of Austin and San Antonio, and a Troup native, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 8, at the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup, with the Reverend Tommy Harden officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mr. Bell died Sunday, December 2, in Fort Worth. He was born in Troup, September 23,1933 to the late Harvey R. and Thelma Clark Bell.
He married Joan Dembski in Austin, August 30, 1958. She preceded him in death December 24, 2005.
Mr. Bell had been featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles recognizing him for the ability to overcome his blind and deaf handicaps. These publications included the San Antonio Light, the San Antonio Sunday Express-News, and the Ostomy Quarterly.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Keith, Tyler and Betty Ann Holloway, Cedar Park, and nieces and nephews.
