Obituary of Jackie Grogan
Services for Jackie Lynn Grogan, 59, Tyler are scheduled for 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with the Reverend Chris Cliborn officiating.
Mrs. Grogan died Saturday, September 29, 2012, in a Tyler hospital. She was born September 10, 1953, in Orange to the late Earl Vernon "Jack" Lovett and Billie Emoline Langston Lovett.
She was a 1971 graduate of Troup High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Baptist Christian University. She was a Director and Board Member of the Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Shreveport. She recently moved to Tyler from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grogan was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin James Grogan, III in 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Stephen Buckley of Jacksonville and Jonathan Mark Grogan of Franklin, Louisiana; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Joshua Kilpatrick of Fort Polk, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Aaden and Loryn Kilpatrick; two sisters, Deborah Burkett of Troup and Terri Prater of Arlington; an uncle and aunt, Ray and Sarah Langston of Lake Jackson; an uncle, Ray Pike of Lufkin; cousins, Pamela Whittemore of Huntington, Donna Clifton of Central, John Pike of Round Rock and Billy Langston of Sugerland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
