Obituary of Keith Robins

Services for Keith Alan Robins, 57, Kilgore, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, September 8, 2012, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverend Ted Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens, Henderson. Mr. Robins died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in a Tyler hospital. He was born November 14, 1954, in Kilgore to Bill and Barbara Foust Robins. He had been a lifetime resident of the Kilgore area. Mr. Robins was employed by Competition Trailer in Henderson. He was a stock car driver at Lone Star Motor Speedway and at race tracks throughout Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Christ Gospel Church, Tyler. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kasey Kay Robins; a son, Billy Keith Robins; his father; Bill Robins; a son-in-law, Donald Joseph Sadler; a niece, Shawn Robins Scott; and his first wife, Vicki Rhodes Robins. He married Cynthia Modisette in Hawkins, April 11, 1986. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Robins of Kilgore; a son, Shane Robins of Overton; two daughters, Kristi Spencer and Angela Sadler, both of Kilgore; his mother, Barbara Robins of Kilgore; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Terry Robins of Overton and Kenneth and Chandra Robins of Kilgore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Julie and Steve Driver of Kilgore and Gaynell and Dan Seay of Liberty City; seven grandchildren, Chase Sadler, Katlin Susan Marie Sadler, Joseph Sadler, Bailie Griffin, Stormie Slayton, Skyler Slayton, and Mathew Spencer; and his beloved pet, Sophie Robins; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Dan Waller, Jimmy Barton, Timmy Heirholzer, Steven Modisette, Brad Scott and Ricky White. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, Saturday, September 8.
