Obituary of Max Mock
Services for Max 'Oyster' Mock, 81, Tyler, formerly of Troup are scheduled 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with the Reverend Randy Ray Belcher officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Mr. Mock died Saturday, August 25, 2012, in a Tyler hospice facility. He was born March 21, 1931, in Troup to the late Walter W. and Phinnie Ola Pool Mock.
He retired from the City Troup.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Mock, William Dickey Mock and Edwin Doyle Mock; and three sisters, Mary Ann Belcher, Betty Lou Davis and Martha Bryan.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Eva Mock of Longview; a sister and brother-in-law, Jessie and Loren Press of Tyler; special friends, Jerry and Tassie Chalfant of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews.
