Obituary of Kayoko Pickering

Born on July 23, 1932 in Manchuria, China, Kayoko Pickering, migrated to the United States from Japan in the 1950's. She passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 23, 2007. Kay was a longtime employee of the Overton Hospital and retired from Doctor James M. Hamilton's Clinic in Overton. She was a loving , caring, and devoted wife, mother, and "Nana". All who were blessed by knowing her will miss her dearly. She was truly an angel here on earth. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Jimmie Adams and Judy Pickering, New London; and three grandchildren, Adam Curry, New London, David Adams, Turnertown, and Cailyn Pickering, New London. In respect of her wishes, no memorial or service will be held. Kay also requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be to her family, Care the Kayoko Pickering Fund, which has been set up at the Overton First State Bank, to be evenly dispersed among the charities that held a special place in her heart.
