Obituary of Mary Jordan
Funeral services for Mary E. Jordan, 73, Arp, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 in the Cottle Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Lt. Col. Lynn Crafton (Ret.) officiating. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan died Thursday, April 5, 2007 in a Tyler hospital. She was born May 23, 1933 in North Zulch to the late Joe Terrell and Clara Edna Thomas Blount. As a young girl, she was a Rainbow Girl with the Masonic Lodge.
She worked as a sales clerk for Sage in Houston and moved to Arp in 1983. She was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Steve T. Negy December 2, 1961 and by Jack M. Jordan, May 31, 1994. She was also preceded by a brother, Joe Thomas 'J.T.' Blount, July 6, 2002.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Lt. Col. Lynn Crafton (Ret) of Harker Heights; a grandson, Tim Crafton; a niece, Jo-An B. Glaw of League City; other nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 7, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
