Obituary of Marie Bane Huddle

Services for Marie Bane Huddle, 78, Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 23, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverends Bruce Rudd and Leon Batchelor officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery, near New Chapel Hill. Mrs. Huddle took the hand of God Saturday, October 20, in a Tyler hospital. She was born February 8, 1929, in Groveton, to the late Oscar and Florence Bane. She had been a lifetime resident of East Texas. She was a mother, a grandmother, and a truly devoted friend to all that knew her and loved her. She lived her life always giving and never taking. She was always thinking of others first. Marie was truly a servant of the Lord. Mrs. Huddle was a member of the Lakeview Tabernacle. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Dean McKnight, Arp; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Randy and Amy McKnight, Overton; a grandaughter, Karla McKnight, Arp; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 22. Pallbearers will be Jay Boyd, Daniel Lipscomb, Jr., Mike Tatum, Noey Foster, Jim Bishop and Jerry Wade. Dr. Randy Randall will serve as an honorary Pallbearer.
