Obituary of Ola Gregg Gill
Graveside services for Ola Gregg Gill, 72, New London, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 14, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near New London, with Reverend James Palmer officiating, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Gill died Friday, October 12, at her residence. She was born October 24, 1934, in Colorado, to the late Elmer Lee and Annie Dimock Collins. She had been a resident of the New London area for 50 years and was a previous resident of Kilgore.
Mrs. Gill was a housewife and attended the Turnertown Baptist Church.
She married Henry 'Sonny' Gill, February 27, 1993, in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, O.W. Gregg, February 11, 1975; a son, Tommy Ray Gregg, April 1, 1993; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Jones, June 18, 2004; a brother, Albert Collins; and a sister, Ethel Houston.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Henry 'Sonny' Gill, New London; a son and daughter-in-law, Toney and Rosemary Gregg, Tyler; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Lydia and Ted Barnes, Garland, Katherine Stevenson, Arp, Cindy and Terry Magee, Bullard, and Patsy Norris, New London; two brothers, Wesley Collins, Pueblo, Colorado and Bert Collins, Florence, Colorado; a sister, Alice Potter, Pueblo, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 13.
