Obituary of Mary Stallings
Graveside services for Mary Ann Stallings, 81, of New Summerfield, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, May 14 at the McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield with Philip Strong officiating under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mrs. Stallings died Thursday, May 10, 2012, in a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born January 9, 1931, in Houston to the late Everett and Beryl Utley Copeland. She was a resident of Houston for 29 years before moving to New Summerfield in 1976.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Church of Christ, Jacksonville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Copeland, Jr. and a sister, Winifred Able.
Mrs. Stallings married Willard W. Stallings September 24, 1949 in Houston.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Willard W. Stallings of New Summerfield; a son, John Stallings of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Larry Lydick of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Brian Vickery, Melonie Jo Stallings, and Scott Flenniken; three great-grandchildren, Justice Lawrence Flenniken, Levi Blaze Stallings, and Christoper Dale Gaulden, Jr.
Deacons of the Southside Church of Christ, Jacksonville will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, May 13.
