Obituary of Sammy Inman
Funeral services for Sammy Inman will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Walter Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Overton.
Mr. Inman died, Saturday, September 8, 2007 in Tyler. He was born March 23, 1940 in Morningsport, Louisiana to the late John Ottis and Viola Inman. He married Margie Sullivan November 3, 1958. He lived most all his life in New London and was employed at Courtney Construction, Carthage, as a dozer operator and he was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Overton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Hamlet on November 19, 2005. He was also preceded by a brother, Otis Inman, and a sister, Wilma Lee George.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Margie Inman of New London; a son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Robbin Inman of Mounds, Oklahoma; two brothers, John Inman, Jr. and Robert Lee Inman both of Vivian, Louisiana; six sisters, Judy Nutt of Bosier City, Louisiana, Lucille Moore, Mary Wright, Katherine Fincher, Earline Sparkman, and Imogene Jean Hartzo, all of Vivian, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Samantha Hamlet, Heather Michelle Inman, and John Justin Inman; a grand-son-in-law, Chris Fleming; a great-grandson, Barylen Scott Fleming; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy R. Higginbotham, Tommy Cubine, Butch Sullivan, Billy Harold Higgingbotham, Chris Fleming, and Tommy Higginbotham.
