Obituary of Cloyse Fielden
Funeral services for Cloyse E. Fielden, 87, Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 2, at the First Baptist Church, Arp, with he Reverend Mike Rice officiating. Burial will will be in Mason Cemetery, Arp, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mr. Fielden died Friday, August 31, 2007 in Tyler. He was born December 22, 1919, in Pittsburgh. Texas, to the late John Alexander Fielden and Myrtle Maloney Fielden. He was a resident of Henderson before moving to Arp 18 years ago.
Mr. Fielden was a retired carpenter and enjoyed gardening and farming. He was a loving father and husband and was a good man.
He wa a member of the First Baptist Church, Arp.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Lynn McClung, in 1969, and brothers and half sister, Loy Fielden, in 1960, Freddie Lee Fielden and Ollie Tutor.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Joyce Fielden, Arp; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna and James White and Judy and John Young, all of Quinlan; a stepson, Danny Barrett, Ada, Oklahoma; a brother, Raymond 'Buddy' Fielden, Pasadena; three sisters, Hulene Bullington, Tyler, Nelda Beard, Gilmer and Virginia Folmar, Scoggins; six grandchildren, Shawn Renea Gessford, Tina McClung, Richard Lanier, James Melville, Jason Tyler Barrett, and Danny Wayne Barrett, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Anthony Amendson, Megan Barrett, and Katie Barrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dale Brown, Bobby Grub, Ricky Bullington, Roger Folmar, Brandon Amendson, and Ray Murphy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturday, September 1.
