Mrs Stroud passed from this life into heaven on February 27, 2012 in Austin. She was born February 4, 1926 in Marion County, to Ernest Lamar and Pauline Purdy Patrick.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Frank Spencer; infant son, John P. Hess; and sister, Patsy Cranford.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Horace B. Stroud; son, Jack S.
