Obituary of Theresa Neely

Graveside services for Theresa Neely, 92, Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, at Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup, with Reverend Mike Cline officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mrs. Neely died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Hospice of East Texas, Tyler. She was born May 17, 1919 in Ben Lomand, Arkansas to the late Alfonza and Eula Thompson Nelson. She had lived most of her lifetime in East Texas and was a home maker. She was a member of Troup First United Methodist Church. She and her husband loved to dance and she loved to play bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Neely, in 1995 and a granddaughter, Cecilia Skinner, in 1986. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Jeannie Neely, Troup, and Bob and Vickie Neely, Trinity, Alabama; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Harland Welch, Destin, Florida, Sue and Pat White, Tyler, Pat and Mike Taylor, Jefferson, and Carla and Cecil West, Henderson; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturday, February 18.
