Obituary of J. Elinor Patton

Memorial services for J. Elinor Patton, 72, Leverett's Chapel, will be at 10 am, Saturday, December 31, in the Bar None Cowboy Church near Henderson.  Mrs. Patton died Thursday, December 15, at her residence. She was born July 18, 1939 in Abilene to the late James LaFette and Willie May Teeters Malone. She moved to the East Texas area 22 years ago from Mineral Wells and worked as a property manager and tax consultant. She was loved by many and had 62 adopted grandchildren that called her 'Mom or Granny' and she was a member of the Bar None Cowboy Church near Henderson. Besides her parents, Elinor was also preceded in death by a son, James Kenneth Newman. Survivors include her husband, Henry W. Patton, Leverett's Chapel; a son, Henry Malone Patton, Weatherford; four grandchildren, Nancy Ann Valis, Hayden Patton, James L. Newman and Cory Boyd; a great grandchild, Bryle Michelle Banks; and a host of friends.
