Obituary of Estalee Locklear
Services for Estalee M. Locklear, 90, Tyler, are scheduled for 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 4 at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with the Reverend Mike Cline officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup.
Mrs. Locklear died Saturday, December 3, 2011, in a Tyler hospice facility. She was born June 8, 1921, in Muldrow, Oklahoma to the late Frank Simms Johnson and Myrtle Waggoner Johnson. She had been a resident of the Hamptons in Tyler for the past five years.
Mrs. Locklear was a realtor with Virginia Cook Realty in Dallas for 19 years before being a self employed broker in Dallas for ten years.
She was a strong, independent woman, who loved being surrounded by her family and was known as Mamaw.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson,
Daniel Curry.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jack Montgomery, Troup; a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Cheryl Locklear, Corinth; four grandchildren, Deborah Leah Smith, Robin Scott Rowe, Charles A. Curry and Kim Reeves; 9 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Beisert, Dewayne Aswell, Charles Curry, Jack Montgomery, Jeff Reeves and.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701.
