Obituary of Dorothy Wray

Graveside services for Dorothy Shuttlesworth Wray, 90, Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 31, at the Union Grove Cemetery, Troup, with the Reverend Coley Shuttlesworth officiating, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. She was born November 12, 1916, in Cherokee County to the late James Jackson 'Tim' Shuttlesworth and Miriam Clem Shuttlesworth. She was a housewife. Mrs. Wray was preceded in death by two husbands, Howard Glanton and Charles Wray; a son, Charles Wallace Glanton; and by a brother, David Shuttlesworth. Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law , Michael and Celeste Glanton, Frisco; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca Lester, Troup and Dinah and Guy Hudson, Chandler; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Billye Jean Shuttlesworth, Troup; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Monday, July 30. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
