Obituary of Kimbro Ferrell

Services for Kimbro Cameron Ferrell, 80, Jacksonville, formerly of Troup, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27 at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with the Reverend Paul Saylors officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup. Mr. Ferrell died Friday, November 25, 2011, in a Jacksonville hospital. He was born July 10, 1931, in Jacksonville to the late Robert and Maud Scruggs Ferrell.  He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War and was a carpenter and an oil field worker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Vera Thomason, J.D. and Naomi Thomason, and Charlie and Bernadine Thomason and a sister, Essie Bee Mitchell. Survivors include a sister, Sunshine Pate, Troup; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Jacksonville Health Care Center for their loving care.
