Obituary of David Claydean Emery, Jr.

Graveside services for David Claydean Emery, Jr., 51, Overton, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Loretta Posey and Kelly Gore officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of  Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton.

Mr. Emery passed away, Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Kilgore. He was born February 12, 1968 in Brownfield to David Emery, Sr. and the late Lena Marie Hales Emery and attended Brownfield Independent School District. He married the love of his life, Stacey Lea Bates, August 12, 2016 in Overton and worked in the oilfield as a derrick hand He enjoyed clowns, watching movies and he loved animals.  He loved Jesus and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Liberty City.

Survivors include his wife, Stacey Emery of Overton; his son, Justin Emery of Bullard; his father, David Emery, Sr. of Overton; a brother, Glen Wayne “Bo” Emery of Kilgore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and John Posey and Kelly Rose and Aaron Gore of Overton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
