Obituary of Joe Thomas Fields

Viewing for Joe Thomas Fields, 90, of Bullard, will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Cottle Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Fields was born January 16, 1929, in Palestine, Texas, to the late Thomas Jefferson Fields and Myrtle Dry Fields. He passed away on October 24, 2019, in Tyler, Texas. He was retired from the Cotton Belt Railroad as an accountant and he was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Gladys Fields.

Survivors include his daughter, Martha “Babe” Watts, of Thomasville, GA; son, Raymond Fields of Bullard; granddaughter, Deanna Fields; and great grandson, Brycen Fields.
