Obituary of Kenneth Dale McCoy

Graveside services for Kenneth Dale McCoy, 74, Arp, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Williams Cemetery with Dr. Gil Lane officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mr. McCoy passed away, Sunday, August 18, 2019 in Whitehouse. He was born January 14, 1945 in Chapel Hill to the late Alton McCoy and Lelia Ruth Sloan McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He married Glenna Gail KuyKendall on October 13, 1978 in Pritchett.  He retired from Carrier after 25 years of service.  He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working the remote on the t.v. He loved the woods and outdoors.

Besides his parents, Mr. McCoy was also preceded in death by a brother, Alton Wayne McCoy.

Survivors include his wife, Glenna McCoy of Arp; son, Kelby Duane McCoy and wife, Jennifer of Celina; step-son, Christopher Wayne Melton of Longview; daughter, Kimberly Donner and husband, Joel of Flint; step-daughter, Kelly Woods and husband Teddy of Hallsville; sister, Clara Darlene and husband Don of Chapel Hill; 7 grandchildren,  Amber Wallace and husband Dylan, Brendyn Hopper, Lanie Woods, Jordan Doughty, Quinn Doughty, Ryan McCoy and Maddox McCoy; 2 great-grandchildren, Novaleigh Wallace and Harley Wallace and several nieces and nephews.  .

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Blevins, Andy King, James Sloan and Gill Woehl.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
