Obituary of Roger Timothy Jones

Celebration of Life for Roger Timothy Jones, 59, of Troup, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

He was born in Dallas, Texas, to James Norbert Jones and Lillie Viola Jones. He passed away on June 22, 2019 in Troup, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

He was a Professional Landscaper and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Walter; sisters-in-law Barbara and Sylvia Elaine.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Jo Palmer Jones of Troup; daughter, Amanda Walker of Palestine; step-daughter, Johanna Rose Chamy of Fort Worth; mother-in-law, Anita Palmer-Carroll and husband Douglas of Fruitvale; sisters, Elaine Stover of Mesquite, Norbra and husband Gary of Dallas, Sandi and husband Bill of Quinlan, Toni and husband Michael of Mesquite; brothers Jim and wife Heidi of Dallas, Ron and wife Cindy of Kemp;  4 grandchildren, Corey Walker, Aven Mays, Thea Josephine Chamy and Eleanor Dare Chamy.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.  He is loved and will be missed greatly by all.
