Obituary of Wanda Joyce Edwards

Memorial services for Wanda Joyce Dunn Edwards, 80, of Troup, will be held 11:00 am, Monday, June 24, 2019 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wade Harman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Edwards was born May 16, 1939, in Longview, Texas, to the late Arron Eafe Dunn and Lillian Mae Cantrell Dunn. She passed away on June 21, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. She married the love of her life, Glendon Edwards, January 31, 1977. She was a computer administrator for an Insurance company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Troup. She loved singing in the choir at church and collecting antiques, salt and pepper shakers, antique post cards, other people’s memories were important to her and she would buy old pictures. She helped start 4 different churches in her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers, James Dunn, Michael Dunn and David Dunn.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Glendon Eugene Edwards of Troup; sons, James Terry Edwards and wife Brenda of Owosso, MI, Dr. Garry Wayne Edwards of Wayne, MI; sister, Marsha A. Linam, OK; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Edwards, Philip Edwards, Benjamin Edwards; 8 great-grandchildren, Tasha, Tonya, Samuel, Gabrielle, Lillain, Elijah, Annabelle and Tobais; Many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
