Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Gipson

Funeral services for “Mawmaw” Margaret Elizabeth Gipson, 68, of Troup, will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2019, at First Baptist Church, Troup with Brother Joe Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Mixon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Margaret was born September 13, 1950, in Memphis, TN, to the late Clifford Krone and Jean Marie Harris Krone. She passed away on April 17, 2019, in Tyler, Texas.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Troup. She loved Jesus, her girls, she loved spending time with her sister “Aunt Linda”, scrapbooking, shopping and she loved her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. There are many children that have passed through her life, who will forever look up to our Mawmaw.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Spencer and husband Stephen of Troup, Melanie Dean and husband Rafe of Troup; sister,  Linda Jernigan of Bells, TN;  4 grandsons, Christopher Spencer and wife Siara, John Casey Spencer and wife Jessica, Landen Dean, Jace Dean; one granddaughter, Helayna Holley; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyson Ansel, Mayson Spencer, Addyson Spencer, Casey Spencer and Gracelynn Spencer; nephew, Wayne Jernigan and wife Rita of Bells, TN; niece Ronde Howell and husband Robert  of Bells, TN; great-niece, Jennie Agee and husband Everett of Bells, TN; great-nephew, Joshua Howell of Bells, TN; great-great-niece, Caleigh Grace Howell of Bells, TN and great-great-nephew, Wade Agee of Bells, TN.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Spencer, John Casey Spencer, Landen Dean, Jace Dean, Wayne Jernigan, and Robert Howell.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2019, prior to the service.
