Obituary of Patricia Sue Hill

Patricia Sue Hill went to be with her Lord on April 10, 2019. Pat was born September 11, 1930, in Overton, Texas to Leonard and Beverly Tucker Hill. Pat grew up in Tyler, TX and graduated from Tyler High School. She went on to graduate from Tyler Junior College and Texas Christian University. She taught elementary school for Fort Worth Independent School District for forty years. Pat was an outstanding educator and was recognized as a Retiring Teacher of the Year in 1991. Pat could see the potential in every child and spent countless hours tutoring student to teach them how to read. Pat was an avid golfer and a six-time Women’s Champion at Hilltop Country Club. Most importantly, Pat was a Christian. She was a faithful member of Handley United Methodist Church in Fort Worth where she served as a Sunday School teacher and lay leader.

                Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her cousin, Mike Johnson. She is survived by her cousins, John, and Wanda Tucker, Wanda Johnson, Johnny and Melanie Johnson, Tracy Tucker, Jenna and Lane Quinney, and Jake and Allyson Johnson.

                Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup.
