Obituary of Jenny Irene Harmon

Graveside services for Jenny Irene Harmon, 72, Overton, are scheduled for 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Overton, with Reverend Harold Tucker officiating. 

Mrs. Harmon passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in a Tyler hospital. She was born December 29, 1946 in Smackover, Arkansas to her late father and her mother, Bobbie Ruth Hackler Burress. She graduated Leverett’s Chapel High School and went to cosmetology school. She owned and operated Hairtage Beauty Shop in Overton where she worked as a beautician for many years. She was a member of Grace Harold Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Jenny was a loving mother, sister, friend, grandmother and really enjoyed doing arts and crafts.

Besides her mother, Mrs. Harmon was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harmon and her step-father, Joe Burress.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and James George of Overton; a sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Chuck Tucker of Marshall; granddaughter, Jennifer Louann Harmon George of Overton; nephews, Josh Gaudet and Brandon Gaudet; great-nephews, Ashton Gaudet and Linkin Gaudet; great-nieces, Aspen Gaudet and Astoria Gaudet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Gaudet, Brandon Gaudet, James George, Leo Armstrong and Joe Matthews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, March 31, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
