Obituary of Horace Ray Booth

Graveside services for Horace Ray Booth, 83, of Alba, will be held 11:00 am, Monday, March 25, 2019, at Whitehouse Cemetery with Pastor Byron George officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

He was born August 17, 1935, in Arkansas, to the late Lloyd David Booth and Lettie Staggs. He passed away on March 22, 2019, in Tyler, Texas. He was a retired truck driver. He loved driving his big truck, playing the bass and other instruments and he loved his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Doris Eitel and a nephew Ronnie Eitel.

Survivors include his daughters, Debra Blackmon, and husband Larry of Troup; Robin Cloud and husband Jay of Mineola; son, Michael Booth and wife Amanda of Alba; 5 grandchildren, Trisha Harper and husband Shawn, Stephen Garrett and wife Amanda, Richard Garrett and wife Christal, Jace Cloud, Ryan Booth, adopted grandson, John DeZelle and wife Jessica, and 5 great grandchildren, Victoria Harper, Leah Eggan, Christian Garrett, Riley Garrett, Celina Garrett; and niece, Rita Eitel-Galyon.
