Obituary of Claudette Brantley
Services for Claudette Robinson Brantley will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 24, 2019 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Roger Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in Overton City Cemetery.
On Monday, January 21, 2019, Claudette Brantley went to her heavenly home. Claudette was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away at the age of 82 in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Claudette was born on November 24, 1936 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to the late Henry “Rob” and Helen Robinson.
She graduated from Leveretts Chapel High School and continued to become a Cosmetologist. She was a beautician in Kilgore for 20 plus years.
Claudette had a great passion for her great grandchildren whom she helped raise as well as her grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to grow flowers, and she had a winning green thumb. She also loved cooking, crocheting, and NASCAR. She attended several races and her favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson.
She loved going to church and was a dedicated member at Gospel Lighthouse.
Besides her parents, Claudette is preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Charles Longtin, Jr. and Charlie Brantley, son Jeffrey Longtin, grandson Stephen Longtin, great grandson Chance Longtin, sister Juanita Robinson Marsh, and nephew Mike “Bo” James.
Claudette is survived by her daughter, Janie Longtin; grandchildren, Amber Luna and husband Mike, April Webb and husband Justin, and John Long; great grandchildren, Ayden and Isabella Mata, Miguel and Isaiah Luna, Gabriel and Manuel Mata and TJ Long; four sisters and one brother, Carolyn Myers Smith of Laird Hill, Shirley Driver and husband Dave of Whitehouse, Lynda Reynolds and husband Fred of Lubbock, Charles Robinson and wife Tammy of Leveretts Chapel, Debbie Rhodes and husband Mike of Liberty City; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
Pallbearers are Charles Robinson, Charles Robinson, Jr., Justin Webb, Brian Marsh, Mike Luna and Gary Ryan.
Honorary pallbearers are her great grandchildren, Ayden, Isabella Mata, Miguel, Isaiah Luna, Gabriel, Manuel Mata and TJ Long.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 23 from 6-8 pm.
