Obituary of Betty Jo Walker

    Services for Betty Jo Walker, 88 of Overton will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel in Overton with Reverend Steve Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New London.  

Betty was born April 8, 1930 in Corsicana to the late Eugene and Lillian Mayo. She entered into rest on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Henderson. She worked at the Overton Hospital many years until it closed and she then went on to work at ETMC Hospital in Tyler as an insurance billing clerk and retired in 1992. She loved playing skipbo, traveling, and reading. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Overton Presbyterian Church. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Dailey; second husband Lester Melvin Walker; siblings, Eugene Mayo, Virginia Mayo & Ben Mayo; grandson, Travis Lee Dailey; granddaughter, Vera Dailey 

Survivors include her children; Pat Dailey & wife Michelle, Overton; Michael Dailey & wife Darlene, Overton; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Mayo, Henderson and Margaret Mayo, Allen; brother-in-law, Billy Joe Cotton, Jacksonville; daughter-in-law Julia Dailey; five grandchildren, Michael Brandon Dailey, Hannah Trichel, Justin Eugene Dailey & wife Elizabeth, Charlotte Nicole Lane & husband Mike.

Pallbearers will be Steve Mayo, Scott Mayo, Gary Cotton, Curtis Cotton, Magin LaGrave and Randy Freeman.
