Obituary of Patsy Marie Gregg

Graveside services for Patsy Marie Gregg, 75, of Whitehouse, will be held 1 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Whitehouse Cemetery with Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Patsy passed away November 26, 2018. She was born November 3, 1943 in Lampasas, Texas to the late Burley Earl Laird and Willie Marie Standard. Patsy grew up in Abilene, Texas and graduated from Abilene High School in 1962. She married her sweetheart, Kenneth Russell Gregg in 1962 in Abilene. She moved to Tyler in November 1965, then to Whitehouse in June 1967. She was a Christian and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Over the years she worked at different places, Gibson’s, Safeway and H&R Block. Her most important “JOB” was the well being of her family. She loved her family very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Stuart Burley Gregg, grandson, Trevor McClintock and sister, Ailene Rodriguez.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Gregg of Whitehouse; children, Jesse Gregg of Chapel Hill, Shannon Benson and husband Daryle of Mineola, Holly Gregg of Chapel Hill; 2 grandchildren, Russell McClintock and wife Sharleen, Jacob Benson; brothers, Earl Eugene Laird and wife Sandy of Lubbock, Roland Dale Laird and wife Stephanie of Abilene and sister, Janice Kaye Barber and husband Jim of Abilene.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
