Obituary of Leah Presley Miller

Services for Leah Presley ‘LeLe’ Miller, 9, of Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Terry Davis, Reverend Tommy Harden and Dr. Reverend Ron Klingsick officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery near Arp. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Leah went to be with Jesus, her savior on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Tyler. She was born May 15, 2009 in Tyler to Landon Allen and Valerie LaCole Taliaferro Miller.  She was a 4th grade student at Arp Elementary School in the gifted and talented program, a UIL participant and was an avid gymnast. Leah was the sunshine of her family’s life and her church family, where she loved singing praises to the Lord and giving hugs.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, John Mills and Gene Lavon Parker, Bob and Norma Taliaferro, and her great aunt, Leah Parker.

Survivors include her mother and father, Landon and LaCole Miller of Arp; one sister, Lynlee Cole Miller of Arp; her grandparents, LaJean and Leroy Davis of Arp, and Darrell and Vonda Taliaferro of Chapel Hill; two aunts, Leavonna Weiss of Midland, and Amber Taliaferro of Arp; four uncles, Logan Byerly and wife Leslie, Blake Davis and wife Holly, Caleb Hester and wife Morgan, and Samuel Hester; and special cousins, Jantzen Weiss, Alessa Taliaferro, Lexi Taliaferro, Lincoln Byerly, Jayden Davis, Tenleigh Davis,Taylin Davis and Brexton James Hester; as well as many other extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Jantzen Weiss, Logan Byerly, Wade Pate, Blake Warren and Zevin Spears.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, November 16.
