Obituary of Vicky Carol Hewitt

Graveside services for Vicky Carol Hewitt, 65, will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 6, 2018 with Reverend Mark Norman officiating, in the Neeley Cemetery near Henderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, prior to service.

Mrs. Hewitt passed away, Saturday, September 29 in Palestine.  She was born July 25, 1953 in Henderson to the late George Lee and Katy Jeanette Addington Owen and attended school in Henderson. She was a lifelong resident of the East Texas area and married Timothy Bruce Hewitt, August 19, 1989 in Irving. She was co-owner and operator of A+ Computer Service in Jacksonville and later worked for Speedy Products as office clerk until she retired. She enjoyed making creative crafts and taking care of her dog “Brandi”. She was a member of Trails to Christ Cowboy Church in Jacksonville.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Hewitt was also preceded in death by her son, Carl Owen, and a brother, Jerry Owen.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Tim Hewitt of Jacksonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and April Owen, and Morgan and Nang Addington, all of Henderson; a sister, Belinda Roberts of Henderson; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Alexandra Owen and Dakota Bassett of Kilgore; several great grandchildren; aunt, Isadore Phillips of Kilgore; her best friend, Claudia Vestal; “Mama”, Peggy Lewis; and numerous cousins, nieces and  nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Owen, John Hewitt, Morgan Addington, Michael Roberts,  Jody McAlister and Bill Harris.
