Obituary of Eddie Lee Pell

       Funeral services for Eddie Lee Pell, Sr., 73, will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton. Burial will follow in Mason Cemetery in Arp.

       Mr. Pell passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in a Tyler hospital. He was born March 15, 1945 in Gustine, California to the late Delbert Lee Pell and Marcell Odessa Cargill and retired from Trinity where he worked as a truck driver for ten years. He also retired from Arco after ten years where he worked as a plant operator. He moved to east Texas in 1985 from Pampa. He loved to watch western movies and was a fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team.

        Besides his parents, Mr. Pell was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bethany Dunn. 

        Survivors include his wife, Diane Spell of Overton; four children and their spouses, Rhonda Pritchard, Theresa Dunn and Maurice Green, Eddie Lee Pell, Jr.,, all of Tyler, David Leon Pell and Shari of Devine, and D. J. and Anna Dancer of Liberty City; a sister, Shirley Mason; six grandchildren, Stephen Dunn, Seth-Pell Bashir, Tanner Pell, Rebecca Pell, Sharidy Pell and Ramsey Dancer; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

        Pallbearers will be D. J. Dancer, Chris Spell, Stephen Dunn, Maurice Green, Tracy Mason and Kenneth Mason.

        The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
