Obituary of Betty Sue Lyon

  Services for Betty Sue Lyon, 76, of Selman City, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Ron Boone officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Arp.

Mrs. Lyon passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Henderson. She was born November 13, 1941 in Turnertown to the late Felix and Ruby Suttles Stone. She spent 18 years working as the secretary for West Rusk School district and was a member of Wright City Baptist Church. 

Besides her parents Mrs. Lyon is also preceded in death by her husband Floyd Lyon and two sisters, Sybil Stone and Phyllis Whisenhunt.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dudley and Becky Lyon and Derek Lyon all of New London; a daughter, Sonja Lyon of Lubbock; two grandsons, Zachary Spears and Peyton Lyon; a grand daughter, Savannah Spears and one great grandson Reks Barton.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Billy Don Davis, David Carroll, Cliff McCoy, Mike Lyon and Bruce Goodwin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.
