Obituary of Raye Jean Rambo

 Memorial services for Raye Jean Rambo, 74 of Overton, will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 8, at Bible Baptist Church in Overton. 

Mrs. Rambo passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. She was born March 8, 1944 in Paris, Arkansas to the late James Robert Raney, Sr., and Etta Viola Kinney Raney. She moved to Overton in the 50’s from Arkansas and married Howard Edward Rambo, Sr., May 23, 1968 in Rusk County. She was a route carrier for the US Postal Service in Overton. She enjoyed her flowers and plants and she was an avid animal lover.

Besides her father, Mrs. Rambo was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Howard Rambo, Sr., April 26, 2014.

She is survived by her mother, Etta Viola Groh of Overton; a son, Howard Edward Rambo, Jr. of New London; a daughter, Dianna Bridget Rambo of Overton; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Pam Raney of Overton, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Sandoval of Miami, Oklahoma and Mary and Rocky Chambless of Overton.
