Obituary of Noal Wayne Moore

Funeral services for Noal Wayne Moores, 89, Arp, will be at Thursday, July 5, at 11:00 am in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with Reverend Bill Vickery officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Wright City.  

Mr. Moores passed away, Monday, July 2, 2018, in a Tyler hospital. He was born March 30, 1929 in Carlisle to the late Major and Zelmar Thornton Moores. He lived most of his life in East Texas and married Margie Marie Pinnell December 24, 1949 in Overton. He owned and operated Arp Ditching Contractors and loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed four wheelers, raising cows, farming and spending time in his garden.

Besides his parents, Mr. Moores was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margie Marie Moores on January 19, 2017 and a sister, Venita Durham. 

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Gilliland of Arp; two granddaughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Ballew of Overton and Candy and Lee Minor of Arp; six great grandchildren, Ilsa Ballew. Jane Ann Ballew, Craig Ballew II, Stevie Ray Gilliland, Michael Wheeler, Nathaniel Shults, a great-great grandson,  Theodore Richard Shults, two nephews and a niece and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lee Minor, Craig Ballew II, Douglas Moneypenny, Stevie Gilliland, Bill Foster, and Richard Kincaid. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Wheeler, Nathaniel Shults and Dakota Guinn.
