Obituary of Peggy Porter
No services will be held for Peggy Faye Porter, 69, New London. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Fineal Home, Overton.
Mrs. Porter died Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Tyler. She was born July 11, 1937 in Rusk County to the late James A. and Annie Mae Williams Parker. She moved to New London in 1978 from Oak Hill and had worked for Hall Manufacturing in Henderson where she did upholstery. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Henderson and was a Jehovah's Witness. She is remembered by her family as the 'Best Mother there ever was' and she will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ricky Neil Bledsoe , February 6, 1995, her husband H. L. 'Butch' Porter, October 12, 1997, and her daughter, Peggy Janiece Porter in 2000,
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Reagan and Crystal Porter of New London; two brothers, Jack Parker of Tyler and Z.T. Parker of Henderson; a grandson, Austin Taylor Henson, a granddaughter, Autumn Kristina Thompson; a great grand daughter, Karissa Michelle Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
