Obituary of Genelle Driver
Services for Genelle Driver, 87, Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 18, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverend Jim Crump officiating. Burial will be in the Mason Cemetery, Arp.
Mrs. Driver passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, in a Tyler hospice facility. She was a homemaker and mother of six children. She was born July 11, 1924, in Jacksonville to the late James Henry Farmer and Lottie Louella Childress Farmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Driver; a son, Marvin 'Hick' Driver; a grandson, Farrell Ray Lyles, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Ricky Lee Cawthon, Jr. and Brettney Dawn Cawthon.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David Richard and Shirley Driver, Whitehouse and James Douglas and Linda Driver, Hughes Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Bruce Cawthon, Arp, Virginia and Richard Adams, New Chapel Hill, and Naoma and David LeBarron, Winnsboro; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Cawthon, Richard Adams, David LeBarron, Mark Adams, Johnny Johnston and James Wilson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Benson and Billy Stephenson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, September 17.
