Obituary of Annie Marguerite Golden

             Funeral services for Marguerite Golden, 93, of Arp will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 15, 2018 in the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick, Reverend Joe Freeman and Reverend Ken Golden officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Chapel Hill. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

            Mrs. Golden passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in her home. She was born April 24, 1924 in Omen, to the late Thomas N. and Ada L. Arnold Boulter. Marguerite was a homemaker and a member of the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Marguerite wed the late Oren K. Golden, Sr. on October 11, 1943 in Tyler. They were married for 63 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Lora McKay and Ola Rains.

            She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Reverend Ken and Sudie Golden of Ashdown, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and Scott Rhame of Arp, Anne and Reverend Robert Ortigo of Carthage; a brother, Chester Boulter of Mabank; three sisters, Helen Green and Eula Sloan both of Arp, and Betty McWilliam of Albuquerque, New Mexico; thirteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

            The visitation will precede the funeral at the church from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
