Obituary of Jeanette Stone Respess

Graveside services  for Jeanette Stone Respess are scheduled for 12:00 noon, Friday, September 16, at the Salem Cemetery, Wright City, with Reverend Rohn Boone officiating under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mrs. Respess passed Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Crosby. She was born April 28, 1927, in Selman City to the late James Stone and Frankie Arealia Stone. She attended the University of Texas and Kilgore College where she received her Associate of Arts Degree. She moved to Crosby 40 years ago from Oklahoma City. She was a dedicated gardener and a longtime member of the Indian Shores Garden Club in Crosby. She was a musician and self-taught pianist and previously owned a record store in Huffman,Texas. Besides her parents, Mrs. Respess was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Anne Payne in 2007. Survivors include her husband Marvin Charles Respess, her son Timothy Lynn Respess, her daughter-in-law Carol Galvin,  an adopted daughter, Linda Sue Crater, a niece, Betty Sue Lyons, three grandchildren, Leah Jeanette Webb, Charles Aaron Payne, and Amanda Galvin; six great grandchildren, Bethany Renée Webb, Makayla Grace Webb, Charles Patrick Payne, Charles Andrew Payne, Emily Margaret Payne, Ashley Sabine Payne, Angela Renée Crater,  and Alana Breanne Winterbauer; grandson-in-law Ernest Michael Webb, and granddaugter-in-law Melissa Cleveland Payne. Pallbearers will be Marvin Charles Respess, Timothy Lynn Respess, Charles Aaron Payne, Ernest Michael Webb, Charles Patrick Bailey Payne, and Leah Payne Webb. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon, Thursday, September 16.
