Obituary of Joy Lee Brewer
Funeral services for Joy Lee Brewer, 86, of Whitehouse, will be held 7pm Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Cottle Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Sonny McFarland officiating with interment to follow at Cathedral In The Pines, 7825 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703. Under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Joy passed away on February 26, 2018. She was born December 17, 1931 in Belton, TX to Walter Spears and Christine Nelson Spears. In 1948 she married Granville Brewer. Joy enjoyed reading the bible, loved to shop and loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Christine Spears; late husband, Granville Brewer; and two sons, Dennis Brewer, Granville Lee Brewer Jr.
Survivors include her children, David Brewer of Zavalla, TX, Wanda Higginbotham and husband Billy of Palestine, Sharon Brewer of Chattanooga, TN, Billy Brewer of Whitehouse, Patricia of Whitehouse, Debbie Hankins and husband Doug of Troup; grandchildren, Michelle, David Jr., Robert, Douglas, Christopher; and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup 5pm-7pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
