Obituary of Lottie Marie Perry

Funeral services for Lottie Marie Perry, 97, Arp, will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 9, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home with Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick officiating. Burial will follow in Mason Cemetery.
    Mrs. Perry passed away, Monday, February 5, 2018 in Overton. She was born February 1, 1921 in Troup to the late Dallas and Georgia Anna Louise Whiteside Garrett and lived most all her life in Arp. She married Alton Reynolds Perry May 1, 1943 in Arp and worked as a seamstress in clothing manufactures in Overton, Henderson, Kilgore and Tyler. She loved quilting and was a member of the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
    Besides her parents, Mrs. Perry was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alton Reynolds Perry, twin daughters, Carolyn and Catheryn Perry, brothers, Billy Garrett, Weldon Garrett, Leon Garrett, Edward Garrett, and Pete Garrett. 
    Survivors include three sons, Daniel Perry of Dallas, Don Perry and Kenneth Perry, both of Arp; a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Dale Strickland of Overton, a brother, Gordon Garrett of Baytown; a sister, Elizabeth Boulter of Whitehouse; three grandchildren, Billy Don Perry, Charles Alton Perry and Melissa Perry; two great grandchildren, David Perry and William Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Billy Perry, Charles Perry, David Perry, Harry O’Kelly, Kevin Wren, Rob Wren, and Mike Wren.
    The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, February 8, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
