Obituary of Katherine Elaine Rowland

    Funeral services for Katherine Elaine Rowland, 56, of Overton will be at  11:00 am, Saturday, February 3, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Matlock officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in Lakeview Cemetery in Longview.   

    Mrs. Rowland passed away, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 6, 1961 in Ft. Worth to the late Clarence Rudolph Ohnheiser, Sr. and Helen Murlene Simmons Ohnheiser. She married Ronnie Lee Rowland February 14, 1987 in Roanoke and has been a long time resident of Overton. She worked in medical billing and was a two time Cancer Survivor and loved life. She was known as ‘YAYA’ to all the kids and loved attending and cheering her grandkids in their sports, dance and other events.

    Besides her parents, Mrs. Rowland was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathi Ohnheiser. 

    Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Ronnie Lee Rowland of Overton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher Michael and Melissa Lee and Aaron and Marquita Rowland, all of Overton; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence Rudolph Ohnheiser, Jr. and Sue of Chapel Hill; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Michael Stephens of Keller; three grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Reagan Lee and Amelia Lee; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who call her Aunt Kathy.

    Pallbearers will be Jason Valdetero, Nick Sanders, Jeremy McAdams, Brian Gurley, Justin Arnold, and Eric Bobbitt.

    The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 2.
